By celebrating each other’s successes and embracing diversity, we can create a vibrant community where everyone feels valued, heard and respected. Whether it's cheering on accomplishments, offering a listening ear, or advocating for each other's rights, this support network cultivates resilience and self-confidence.
This was the atmosphere I felt when I was introduced to Delilah Bon for the first time during her tour with Scene Queen at the end of 2023. She describes herself as a bratty riot girl with mischievous lyrics, but if you listen closely to her songs you will hear the activism and truth that needs to be screamed from the rooftops.

Delilah Bon is an independent artist that writes, performs and produces all of her own music. I just want to stop here and give this girl a huge pat on the back. The achievements that she has made all by herself with songs as controversial as they are is absolutely outstanding. She has gathered over 7 million streams on Spotify and has recently had one of her songs included in the new Netflix hit series, The Gentlemen.
Let’s delve into some of the lyrics Delilah has written:
Dead Men Don’t Rape
“This is my body. My body is mine, don't belong to the government.”
“Untapped is the anger feminist power. A new generation are screaming no.”
I Don’t Listen To You
“So he told me to change my top right. He said it was too revealing. So I said, I don't listen to you.”
“Girls like us will never shut up.”

Now let’s talk about her song; The Internet. It starts with Delilah Bon mocking the haters by reading out comments in their assumed voices. This song speaks openly about the LGBTQ+ community and transphobia. This is why Delilah Bon is the voice of our generation because who else will shout ‘blame the women and feminism’ in a song?
Delilah Bon is the voice of our generation for all girls, female-identifying or those non-gender specific. If you can relate to these words and the anger she puts into each one of them, then I highly recommend getting on the Delilah Bon train!
