Michael Marcagi put on an incredible and wholesome show over the weekend of February 21st at the stunning Roundhouse in Camden, London.

Certainly winning the hearts of UK fans even more as he mentioned his immense love for the London and the UK stating it was his “favourite city in the world to play in” crediting much of his success stemming from his first time headlining in London, in OMEARA, January 2024 shortly followed by the his viral single ‘Scared to Start’ blowing up online, that would go on enter the top 10 of the UK Official Charts in the early months of that year.

The Cincinnati, Ohio native wowed the crowd along with his band - supported by Joe Furlong of Irish folk band Kingfish on bass - with his blend of folk-pop and almost indie style sound, including a magical cover of Wonderwall half with through his set which certainly went down well with the London crowd.

Michael played numerous singles from his debut album ‘Under The Streetlights’ which just came out earlier this month on 6th Feb, and his debut EP ‘American Romance’ laughing referencing how he was glad to finally have enough original songs for a full set.

Perhaps the highlight of the night for most fans was the surprises of the night, when we welcomed back to the stage opening act Evan Honer as they performed a fantastic rendition of Michael’s song ‘Humbling’ together and following the encore, bringing out Jade Bird for there song together ‘Rocksteady’.

Speaking of Evan Honer it’s important not to forget his fantastic job opening up for Michael Marcagi, a fantastic country-folk artist from Arizona in the United States. Who also referenced how he doesn’t receive as much love in his hometown shows as he did on Saturday night in Camden whilst sporting a Union Jack beanie.

With a viral track his own helped with featuring country artist Julia DiGrazia, ‘Jersey Giant’, turned into one big sing along, Evan has amassed a recent massive following actually leaving him with almost 100k followers on Instagram than Michael himself.

Evan produced a fantastic set that thoroughly warmed up the crowd, with his stunning vocals and acoustic performances completely solo, the stripped back versions of his hits ‘Too Far Gone’ and ‘Nowhere Fast’ were personal favourites.

Evan has also recently released his fourth album in 4 years at the end of January this year, titled ‘Everything I Wanted (& more)’ I would certainly say Evan is one to keep an eye on this year as he looks to start a massive tour in the US and Canada this year, could we potentially see him back in the UK this winter? Here’s to hoping!
