Back again for another year, In It Together Festival brought together a massive three-day line up in Port Talbot Wales. We spent the bank holiday weekend in the blistering heat trying to catch as many names as we possibly could; as well as making sure to discover some new artists.

With multiple stages across Margam Park, the weekend was set for a jam-packed line-up. Depending on what genre of music you were looking for, In It Together Festival probably had it there for you. We spent the majority of the weekend back and forth Paddock, Ranch and Main Stage; this gave us opportunities to catch local and upcoming artists, alongside the bigger names that everyone was waiting to see.
Over on Paddock Stage, we were treated to rock, acoustic and pop artists. From Baby Brave, who came from Liverpool, to Parcs, who popped over from Newport.
Paddock rescued us this weekend; especially with the heat. It gave us opportunities to lie in the sun and watch whoever was on the stage or shuffle closer and dance in the shade. This stage will always be one we visit when attending In It Together Festival; you never know when you might see one of these artists transition over to the Main Stage.
We frequented the Ranch Stage a couple of times if we wanted to enjoy a bit more of a country vibe. The staging for this was very cute because it was made to look like a barn dance set up. Our only criticism with the placement of this stage was that it was right next to the fairground rides. At times we found it difficult to hear the artists in the tent or the loud disco music and MC on the microphones just outside would ruin the chill vibe that was created inside.
The bigger names of the weekend were where the bigger crowds were pulled. Main Stage was packed for almost every artist we caught there. We caught Natalie Imbruglia on the Friday, obviously waiting for her classic hit, ‘Torn’, - as was everyone else, because the sudden influx of people that came into the area when she started playing that song was crazy.
We also caught a few of the Main Stage acts during the daytime, such as: James B. Partridge, who came on stage with a keyboard and a guitar to fulfil our school nostalgia memories. Do you know who put the colours in the rainbow? We also caught Meek; rising to fame in the queer community at the moment and it was refreshing to see that she brought local drag artist, Jolene Dover on stage with her. The main event for us this weekend was seeing Feeder play together with their original line up. The atmosphere in the crowd was incredible watching local hometown heroes grace us with their fantastic setlist.
We have one request for In It Together Festival - please make sure there is ear protection available for ticket holders. We forgot ours and went from bar to bar to find some, including some food stalls and sales/merchandise areas. There were none to be found. In the end, we had to buy a small pair of foam ear plugs for £3 at one of the shops on site. Ear protection should be free and easily accessible in all live event/music areas.
