Few bands soundtrack a generation quite like Bowling for Soup, and now they're turning back the clock with a reimagined take on Sum 41's 2000s global smash hit ‘In Too Deep’. Born out of a genuine decades-long friendship between the two bands, the cover is a full-throttle trip back to the era that defined a generation of music fans.

The release follows last month's cover of Simple Plan's “I'm Just a Kid, continuing Bowling for Soup's ongoing series of reimagined pop punk classics. You can check out the BFS animated homage to the original Sum 41 video below:
Bowling For Soup frontman Jaret Reddick had this to say about taking on another classic by some more good friends of the band:
"We met Sum 41 in 2000 when our bands toured with Catch 22. We instantly hit it off talking about Metal and drinking copious amounts of, well, everything. Oh, and listening to the cassette with 1000 farts they bought at a truck stop. You could tell watching them that they were special. Those things were about to blow up for them. And by the end of the tour, even the crowds knew it. We have managed to stay friends with the guys for 25 plus years. It is an honor to be able to add them to this collection of Pop Punk covers we are doing. And what a freakin 'banger it is!!"
Away from covering their friends in other very successful bands, Bowling For Soup are following up the success of their incredible, career best show (so far) at London's OVO Arena Wembley last December with three huge tours.
First up, they're hitting Australia alongside folk punk royalty Frank Turner and the Sleeping Souls in May. After going down under, and celebrating their 32nd birthday as a band with a home state Texas show, Jaret, Rob and Gary will be back in the UK this Summer.
They'll be resuming their partnership with Frank Turner on the ‘Bowl My Bones’ Tour. This tour was recently supercharged even further with the addition of American Hi-Fi to the line up!
The tourbegins on the 25th of June at Dreamland in Margate and has nine stops across the UK, finishing up at the prestigious Eden Sessions in St. Austell. They'll also be storming a couple of castles along the way in Lincoln and Cardiff! Tickets for the shows in Glasgow and Lincoln are moving particularly quickly so you may want to get a move on!
