The four-piece alternative/emo band, Failstate, from South Wales, descended on Le Pub, Newport for their final night of tour. Over the course of a week, the band played in London, Southampton and Birmingham before wrapping up in Newport.

Joining them on stage in Le Pub was Love As Always and Spiralling. During the tour, the bands would alternate headliner slots depending on if they were performing on home turf or not. With Failstate being from South Wales, they were the main act on the bill Saturday night.

A revolving headliner tour is a great idea, especially with bands from each visited city. It gives each band the spotlight in front of friends and family. This should be more of an industry standard practice.

If you didn’t catch them this time round, the band will be performing again next month after claiming a slot at 2000 Trees. Last year they were given a stage amongst the campsites quite late at night but still managed to pull an enthusiastic crowd. We look forward to seeing their crowd this year over on Neu Stage.

Tickets can be found on the 2000 Trees website: https://2000trees.co.uk/line-up/failstate
