At the end of October, acclaimed rock trio Against the Current entered the next chapter of their story with the release of their long-awaited third studio album, ‘Till Death & Back’. Anchored by the focus track ‘Ashes to Glory’, the album brings together the band’s evolving alternative sound and deeply personal narratives about fate, transformation, and the forces that shaped who the band has become.

Executive produced by Against The Current’s own Will Ferri, ‘Till Death & Back’ unites the band together with producers Erik Ron (Panic! at the Disco, Godsmack), Josh Gilbert (Spiritbox), Morwell, and Josh Saldata for their most cohesive and uncompromising record yet. Across the album, the band explores the tension between love and loss, vulnerability and defiance, and the versions of ourselves we must leave behind to move forward.

At the heart of the record, ‘Ashes to Glory’ serves as a powerful statement of the album’s overarching themes. Reflecting the record’s larger exploration of survival and transformation, the focus track captures the tension between destruction and rebirth and confronting what it takes to emerge from the fire. It stands as a defining moment within an album that embraces both the cost of becoming and the strength required to keep going.

The album follows the previously released singles ‘Heavenly’, ‘Always You & I’, ‘Dead Man Walking’, ‘Protégé’,and ‘White Noise’, each offering a different perspective on Till Death & Back’s narrative.

‘Heavenly’ explores the intoxicating pull of love that feels almost otherworldly. ‘Always You & I’ explores a love that transcends time and circumstance, while ‘Dead Man Walking’ confronts survival and the feeling of becoming unfamiliar to yourself. ‘Protégé’ turns toward the complicated relationships, influences, and power dynamics that can shape a person’s identity. While ‘White Noise’ adds another dimension to the album’s emotional landscape, exploring inner turmoil and the struggle to find clarity amid the chaos.

Together, the songs establish an emotional landscape that moves between devotion, confrontation, and the possibility of transformation.
